Playgroup

As some of you know, Elio and I have joined the most wonderful playgroup. We meet Thursday afternoons, and it's been a life-saver for me, and fun to watch Elio interact with the other babies. They all grow and change so much from week to week, and seem to be more and more aware of each other. And, of course, we moms never run out of things to talk about and are learning lots from each other. Here are some pictures from the last few weeks of playgroup. (thanks to Karen for taking and sharing most of these pictures!)

Here are the boys in the playgroup, Andrew, Charlie, Theron and Elio:

A couple weeks ago, we decided to have a playgroup potluck so that our husbands could meet each other. We started Elio out in his pajamas, but then there was a diaper incident and we had to change him into the spare outfit. Such is life.

Elio let us know when it was time to go home:

Last weekend, we got together and decorated gingerbread houses.

It's all very wholesome and sweet, isn't it? I love it!

Road trip to DC!

We just got back from a great weekend in DC where we got to introduce Elio to tons and tons of lovely folks. We stayed with Liz, who is very important in Elio's life, as she's one of the people responsible for introducing Dan and I!

A bunch of people were in town for a conference, so Elio got to meet Nick, Galeet, Mason, Brandt, Eduardo, Steve, River, and Zach.

Here's Galeet and Mason. Sadly, I didn't get their little cutie baby Yaniv in the picture. He's not yet 4 weeks old, and I couldn't really ask them to wake him up and drag him out of the stoller just for my photo op.

Here's Elio with Brandt. Brandt had many words of wisdom to impart; Elio soaked them up.

And here's Elio with River. He's looking pretty thrilled to be meeting so many wonderful people, isn't he? Quite the social butterfly.

In just the last few days, Elio's really gotten better at sitting up. And he's trying hard to get even better at it -- he does little ab crunches all the time, trying so hard to pull himself up.

And here he is being a goofball and lunging for the camera.
