Elio is a bit yellow these days--but it's nothing to worry about. He's a little jaundiced (which is common for babies in their first week), which is treated easily with bilirubin lights--a kind of bluish tanning booth-like apparatus. The phototherapy kept his bilirubin levels stable, so we were able to take him home this afternoon. We kept him in a sunbeam on the couch so that it'll go down even more.
Elio está ficando um pouco amarelo agora, mas não é razão para se preocupar. Ele fica com um nível um pouco alto de bilirrubina (é muito comum para nenéns na primeira semana da vida), mas é fácil melhorar com umas luzes azuis especiais.
